Our formulations

What is in the products, at what strength, and why.

Minoxidil

A vasodilator that widens the blood vessels feeding the follicle. We make it at 5% and 10%. The 10% is not simply better — it raises the chance of scalp irritation, and it is meant for people who have plateaued on 5%.

Expect shedding in weeks four to six. It is the follicle cycling, not the treatment failing, and it is the single most common reason people stop too early.

Finasteride

Lowers DHT, the hormone that miniaturises follicles in pattern hair loss. Our topical combinations use 0.1%, which acts on the scalp with far less systemic exposure than an oral tablet.

For men only. Not to be handled by women who are or may become pregnant.

Ketoconazole

An antifungal that also reduces scalp inflammation. In our shampoos it is paired with zinc pyrithione. It treats the condition of the skin the hair grows from, which is often the actual problem.

Supplements

Biotin, beta-sitosterol, amino acids and a multivitamin base. These support hair growth where nutrition is a limiting factor. They are not a substitute for minoxidil or finasteride, and we will not sell them as one.
